After discussing with CXPhreak and Kathy I am reinvigorating this post, after a few years of dormancy.
I recently found out about, and subsequently ordered Larry's book. And am I ever glad I did!!! I highly recommend it for new players.
It is a worth every cent. I thought I had some idea about rebuilding carbs, but was blissfully ignorant, so it seems.
The detailed instructions and excellent photos make the complex job of refurbishing these old carbs achievable, regardless of your starting point.
I have no doubt that if I did not have the book, I'd be another CX owner swearing and cussing, trying to get the beastie to run properly, if at all.
Now to find those tiny little drill bits and quality tap sets...
I'm confident to finish the job now, but if you feel it's beyond you I understand there are many forum members with the skills and experience to do the job for you, I'm sure you agree CXPhreak?
