Gasket Making
« Started on: 19-Jan-21, 14:14 »
Hi all
I want to make my own gaskets for front transmission cover, and rear cover.
I can only locate gasket paper at 0.4mm thick, or 0.8 mm thick.
The original thickness was 0.6 mm.
What would be the recommended thickness material I should use, 0.4 or 0.8.

Use .8. that's what I use.

At .4 you will likely have clearance issues at the rear cover.

+1 for 0.8. Used that thickness on plenty of CX motors with no issues.

Thanks guys, looks like it’s 0.8mm then.
