Thermostat

Is there an aftermarket themostat available for 400/500 CX Euro--My Honda dealer wants diamonds for a genuine one and Econohonda are getting a bit greedy on pricing lately.
Have tried Repco but only have thermo's for cars.Any suggestions?--Thanks

DAYCO DT15A DP

I've also had the Dayco DT15A from repco in a cx650ed for over a year and seems to work well.  The DT15A opens at 82 deg C.  There is also the DT15B (91 deg) and DT15C (71 deg).

Went along to my local Repco outlet to-day to get a thermostat for No.2 650.   The DT15A thermostat from Repco is mostly the same dimensions as the original however the throat diameter of the DT15A is a lot smaller than the original.  Is that a problem or not a matter of any concern?

Ran along to Repco and got a DT15A BP thermostat.  It is too tall to fit into the housing.

Definitely not, going to take it back to see if there is a difference between BP and DP.

The only thing going for my local Honda shop is that they are ever so slightly but only just, better than Repco.

Back again, incorrectly packaged thermostat.  Found another thermostat with the same part number in another packet, it even looks different.   Replacement fits OK but not enough CX time to start the engine to-day.  Repco do not know the difference between DP and PD.

yeah it should be all good... a bit on the dayco part numbers.

any Dayco thermostat with the part number DT15A should work.

the "BP" on the end just stands for single blister pack
the "DP" on the end just stands for double pack I think it was
and if it had "10" on the end of the part number from memory it just stood for "trade lot of 10".

when you open them up they all just have dt15a on the actual part itself.

I have that same Dayco DT15A part # for the thermostat from the CC site so I would guess that Les is correct.

 Would think that it will fit the entire range.

Hi cxers, i know this is an old post but repco are doing tridon tt6-180 thermostats for a clearance price of $5.01-none in qld but some in the other states .they charge $5.00 for shipping in qld so at 10 bills a great price-cheers rob.
