Goldwing fuel tank full of vinegar... You get some odd looks when you walk out of the supermarket with 22 litres of the stuff.

When you are finished you can make some weedkiller just add salt 1kg per 3 liters vinegar and some water

The rust might taste a bit odd, bit good for the wife's iron levels...

Cleaned it all out, looked inside, and put the vinegar back. Give it another day, I think.

Got the tank clean, but only by getting the last of the sludge taken out by my local soda blasting bloke.

$20 well spent. Took me longer to drive there than it took him to do the job.

Put it in and seal it up tomorrow. It is in the house tonight to keep it dry.

Those are nice, Harry, especially the CB160.

Here's a mis-labled CB550 priced too cheap, even with carb issues:

Very nice Victor, but I think the cost would be prohibitive compared to the $1000 that my Postie cost me.
I find it interesting how the classic bikes are still bringing good money these days despite the current economic situation.

Those CBX 400 Mufflers look remarkably like CX Euro style.

Post 5555 for me.

That CB 550 must have been cheap because it's gone.
While I can appreciate the workmanship and effort that's gone into the CX, it looks bloody uncomfortable to ride and I reckon your feet would be nice and toasty with the way the exhaust is positioned. Also I think that as it's only done 10 miles since it was built, the new owner will be fixing all the teething problems.   :grandpa:

The CB550 was priced at $2000.00.  No wonder it didn't last.  Agree 100% about the CX.....looks more like sculpture than a ridable bike, as many such builds look to me.....

definitely an extreme case of supply and demand -obviously these are pretty rare, thrown out and replaced with sockets etc?

And one for me. I'm interested to see what this nice one will bring, not that it matters to me having sold my 78 last year. It was probably my favourite bike to ride and I just wish that I had bought it 20 years earlier when it's weight wouldn't have been a problem.

Do stay safe, people.....this is a nasty virus....

On a related note....I'd guess there will be a lot of Harleys for sale over the coming months as estates are settled:

Yes our new restrictions are a bummer, but we have to do our best to overcome this virus.
As well as our Government's incompetence, my biggest disappointment is some people's selfishness in flouting the rules. God help us if we ever had to go through a world war like our parents and grandparents did.   :grandpa:

I suspect it is more people and their selfish tendencies, than government incompetence at this point. There isn't much more that they can do, short of exiling everyone who doesn't follow the rules to some island and leaving them there.

And Van Diemens Land won't take them anymore.

In NZ it was the theme of "the team of 5 million"that appeared to work, most, and I say most, did not want to let the "team" down so therefore played to the rules,if you broke the rules the rest of the team members kind of let you know that was not acceptable-it worked for us along with border controls, problem is everyone wants to come here now, even the thousands that are here on soon to expire work visas have petitioned the Govt to allow them to stay, which I suppose is fair enough as who would want to go back to their own countries that may well be suffering from C-19.There are so many "New Zealanders" wanting to return "home" that it is becoming a problem, the cost to the country for the two weeks isolation in a flash hotel is running into the millions of $,and some still try and escape risking the health of our citizens, every day here we are getting one or two cases of C-19 from new arrivals at these isolation facilities which is not fair, surely they should have been tested before their arrival.Try to stay safe everyone.
