For those interested Toll customer service did nothing and RTS (returned to sender).
I asked the seller via email to let me know my options and charges....but they seem hesitant to put this in writing..
Suppose ill be charged at least the 30% restock free....  2sad

non -in stock parts are being quoted at 16 weeks via local supply chains... 2cry...via boat not the usual 6 weeks..



I got Goldwing parts from Partzilla in the US in two weeks just before Christmas, when the locals quoted 12 ex Japan...

Use .8. that's what I use.

At .4 you will likely have clearance issues at the rear cover.

Hi all
I want to make my own gaskets for front transmission cover, and rear cover.
I can only locate gasket paper at 0.4mm thick, or 0.8 mm thick.
The original thickness was 0.6 mm.
What would be the recommended thickness material I should use, 0.4 or 0.8.

A, hopefully, closing post to this topic. 
I've fitted the replacement camshaft and lower cam followers, and the bike seems now to be running without the clatter that prompted the start of this topic. 
Thanks to all members who've helped me on this journey.
