If you are planning on attending Victor Harbor, please indicate in this thread by registering with the poll on top.

Also, please advise if possible how many will be coming with you and what bike(s) you will be bringing if any.

There isn't one Harry. I couldn't figure out how to add one so I figured I'd just start a thread here where folks nominate their intention to come and I'll keep the tally updated in the other post.

It's a little convoluted but keeps things tidy too I guess.

I take it this means you'll be coming? Any idea what bike you'd be bringing?

I am a definite "no idea" at this stage. I doubt I will be riding and if I do ride I would probably bring the NT700V Deauville.

I may fly over OR I may drive over with Graham with the bikes on a trailer.

It is also probable that I will not even make it next year.

As I said I have "no idea"

Well,

I'm interested but I think I might have other plans closer to home - and I won't know until closer to the date as I need to get through my probationary period at work which is 6 months from 30/9/2013...so probably/possibly unlikey - with a distinct maybe if I can swing it with the powers that be..and also get permission from SWMBO (rumpole).

I'd like to selcet about 3 options from the poll list - but understand I shouldn't sit on the fence....

Ok folks, sorry about the mess here.

Seagrass has kindly set up the registration which I was trying to figure out how to set up on top of this thread. If you intend to come, simply register and it's done (much like the Cowra Reunion)

I'm currently trying to see if we can get something organised with VJMC to get our meet prior to the VJMC rally sanctioned as a separate event for the yearly ride tally that some folks need to maintain historic rego on their bikes (mostly in the eastern states I believe). It seems like it'll be a tricky one to sort out so there's no promises being made here. What might be helpful though is if I could get an indication of how many registered VJMC members we actually have that are planning to attend the CX'GL rally. If we can show a large portion are VJMC this might throw some weight on the argument and help out a little.

By the way, don't forget to check up the top to ensure you are registered with the ammended poll.

That's what we're hoping for. The way we see it, there's VJMC members there and it's a separate event so why not go for it.

The seemingly growing habit of trailering bikes to rallies is changing the original reason for rallies.
Is this like the way our language is being modified by up-coming generations?

Oh so true Don but many of us are not growing old as slowly as you

so therefor to save our arthritic bones and decaying old bikes there is now a tendency to travel in comfort. Then enjoy the ride when we get there

What did you once say about vjmc members turning up in cars to Fairfield compared to more recent times?

As always, I'd like to ride to Victor Harbor, but I may well need the trailer for other things on the same trip.

Let's see how the other things pan out

I was talking to Ralph early this year about a bike rail on wheels that he didn't want & my VFR750 has an unknown future.

It's actually due for another track day mid next month
