Picked up a pair of sunglasses on ebay with a camera mounted in the middle of the frame, not the best sunglasses by a long way but pretty handy for on bike video and easier to use than the other cheapies I tried, the glasses cost $21.87.  Gave them a quick test this afternoon, it was around 3:15pm and the sun was in my face for a bit of it so I imagine the picture will be better earlier in the day with the sun a bit higher.  I might also try and put something over the mic to cut down on the wind noise.

Anyway, here it is.  Can you pick the bit of road, not a hard one Smiley

Steve, can you tell us dummies about the rest of the kit that the camera connects to.  Looks like you just USB cable it to a PC and has a rechargeable battery, is that correct.  For $22 it is quite amazing and just what you need when "interviewed" by the man in blue.

Yep, just comes with a case and a USB cable.  Basically just plug it into the PC to charge and transfer videos.  You will need a micro SD card, I have a few so stuck in an 8GB one, which based on the space taken up by that 3 minute video should fit around 180 minutes.

There are more expensive ones that come with a Micro SD card and a usb charger that plugs into a wall socket (I already have a few of them)

Hope that helps Smiley

No idea re battery yet other than it seems like its bigger than the MD80 ones so tomorrow morning I'll leave it on for a longer ride and give it a better test Smiley

Engine sounds fantastic. What are the exhausts?

I've done some vids with my Standard Samsung digi camera but they aren't great.Down at the bottom,

http://australiancx.asn.au/forum/index.php?topic=362.25

Had to lower quality to bring the file size down and it doesn't have as panoramic view as the MD80 or your glasses.

Steve,

regarding the "noise", what would be the effect if running this behind a full face helmet - should stop a lot of noise I would think...or wherever the microphone is located - glue over it a small piece of high density foam... might help.

are you checking your mirrors when the camera seems to dip left and right  - that's pretty early in the video.

cheers

I tried a small bit of foam on my camera and unfortunately it didn't help.I then stuck a piece of masking tape over the mic holes and even that couldn't stop the wind noise but that camera was exposed to the wind being velcroed to my Motorcycle jacket.Things may be different if behind my Visor on my Full-face.
