When I had my CB400T at 23 years(1985) of age my brother was looking for a bike and saw a cx custom for sale for about $2500. I'd never heard of a cx before but we went to the state library and found a bike review of them and he went ahead and bought it. I was looking for something with a bit of grunt and got a 1981 GSX1100. After riding the cx
I was really impressed with how well it pulled and how much it revved for a push rod motor.A really good all around riders bike that was unique in its class. Still I wasn't too much interested at that time until he went to sell it. I tried to buy but couldn't raise the funds at the time, with two young kids in tow.Over time it really annoyed me that I didn't get that bike and had been on the lookout ever since. I saw one parked in the city one day and another at a market years apart. Both times I put a note on the seat asking if it was for sale.I had to wait 22 years from my first encounter with a cx to finally get one. A few of my friends still say you always wanted one of them. After I got my first one it needed a water pump seal, so I thought I'd google it and found this site. I couldn't believe my luck.
Like minded people  pooling there resources to keep these bikes on the road . This forum has had increased my
ability to do just that, so thanks one and all for one great ride .

Cheers
